Hi, I'm Kate!

I am a landscape painter exploring different paint mediums to capture the beauty of nature and the outdoors. Originally from Upstate New York, I have always been drawn to the geological diversity of the West Coast. In 2025 I made the decision to move to Reno, Nevada, leaving the humble forests of the Adirondacks behind for the towering peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

My work is inspired by different art movements such as Impressionism and Realism to captures the color, texture, and emotion you feel on a hike in a national park or just a walk on a trail in your backyard. I want my pieces to allow you to continually connect to nature even when you are not on the trails. My favorite part of a hike is taking out my sketch pad to slow down and appreciate the world around me.  

 

I hope my art reaches those who are also inspired by the outdoors and encourage others get outside. And of course always remember to Leave No Trace!
